Billiard Palace

The permanent exhibition is dedicated to Njegoš's life and creative work and contains his personal belongings, works of art, as well as his library and manuscripts, the most prominent of which is the original manuscript of the Mountain Wreath

One of the highlights is the printing press that Njegoš installed in Biljarda, which played a crucial role in the dissemination of literature and ideas during his reign​​

The courtyard is home to a relief map of Montenegro on a scale of 1:10,000, created in 1917 during the Austro-Hungarian occupation of Montenegro. The map includes parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Albania and Serbia and is made of concrete on a stone surface based on precise Austrian topographical maps

The palace is part of the National Museum of Montenegro, a complex consisting of the History and Art Museum, the Museum of Peter II Petrović Njegoš, Njegoš's mausoleum on Lovćen and a couple of other sites in Cetinje. You can buy a collective ticket for all museums for €20
