Budva is the country's most-visited destination and the most lively town along the coast. In summer, it’s packed with tourists attracted by its beaches, various watersport options, and vibrant nightlife. If you're seeking a laid-back experience, you'll be better off staying near Sveti Stefan, Petrovac or another quieter town along the coast

The Old Town is definitely a highlight with its narrow stone lanes, small squares, churches and city walls. The Citadel will give you access to panoramic terraces. It's worth mentioning that the Old Town is relatively small and a visit usually take 1-2 hours

The beach closest to town (Slovenska Plaža) is overcrowded, loud and not very charming in summer. While crowded too, Mogren beach offers a more scenic background. If your dream is tranquil coastline, you’ll likely be happier doing day trips 20-30 min away from the center

Budva has strong intercity bus connections (Kotor, Tivat, Podgorica, etc.) and is a great base for day tours to explore the Budva Riviera
