History and Art Museum

The history section of the museum on the ground floor offers a comprehensive timeline of Montenegro’s history from the Stone Age up to 1955​. The art section showcases contemporary and traditional artworks by Montenegrin and foreign artists

Located on the upper floor, the art gallery presents a thorough collection of 19th- and 20th-century artworks by artists from the former Yugoslavia. Highlights include works by Milo Milunović and Petar Lubarda, with prominent pieces such as "Battle of Vučji Do" and "Kosovo Battle" or Slovene impressionists like Rihard Jakopić, Matija Jama, and Matej Sternen

The museum is part of the National Museum of Montenegro, a complex consisting of the King Nikola's Museum, the Museum of Peter II Petrović Njegoš, Njegoš's mausoleum on Lovćen and a couple of other sites in Cetinje. You can buy a collective ticket for all museums for €20
