Kotor is a popular cruise stop and the sheer number of cruise passengers flooding the old town make the narrow alleys feel claustrophobic. Visit before 9:00 AM or after 5:00 PM when passengers are back to the ship to have a quieter visit

There is a huge cat population in Kotor and they are treated like royalty by the inhabitants in the old town. There is a small square next to the North Gate commonly called "Cats' Square" and even a Cat museum
