Petrovac

Petrovac offers a more relaxed alternative to the busier resorts along the coast and is popular with families. With the exception of some recent resort developments up the hill, this former fishing village maintained its quaint charm despite growing into a popular tourist destination

The main highlight is the Kastio Castle, a small Venetian fortress located on the cape and offering photogenic views of the beach and the dramatic limestone cliffs. A bronze relief here honors those who perished in the world wars​​

At peak season, the local beach can be very crowded and parking can be challenging. Consider visiting the nearby Perazica Do Beach or the larger Buljarica Beach instead. The trail to Perazica Do Beach starts behind the Danica Hotel on the western part of town while Buljarica Beach is located 2km further east and can be reached via a 40-min walk through the forest

Petrovac offers a wide range of possible water activities, such as scuba diving, kayaking, speed boat riding etc. Guided kayac trips are organised to nearby islets Katič and Sveta Nedjelja while the Petrovac Diving Center offers PADI courses, night dives, cave dives, and shipwreck dives
