Krujë

Highlights include the Krujë Castle (housing the Skanderbeg Museum), the Ethnographic Museum and the Old Bazaar (while atmospheric, the bazaar is not a bustling locals’ market anymore and it's mostly tourist trade (souvenirs, rugs, old uniforms, etc.)

Parking near the bazaar and castle is a nightmare. The streets are incredibly narrow and steep. Use the paid parking lots at the top of the hill near the Old Bazaar

For stunning views, drive (or hike) to the top of Mount Krujë. The Bektashi shrine is built into a cave and offers a peaceful escape from the bazaar's bustle

The stones in the bazaar and castle are "polished" by centuries of walking and are notoriously slippery, even when dry. Wear sneakers or hiking shoes with good grip
