Step into a family-run olive grove near Dubrovnik and discover why olive oil is known as “liquid gold” in Dalmatia. This private experience is hosted by Kristo, a certified olive oil sommelier and grove owner who left a long career in mechanical engineering to dedicate himself fully to the olive trees that had patiently waited for his family’s care.
Your visit begins in the grove with a warm welcome, drinks, and traditional local sweets. Surrounded by nature and the shade of olive trees, hear the story of the family’s journey from everyday work to olive farming, and learn why extra virgin olive oil is so important to local life, cuisine, health, and tradition.
Depending on the option selected, take an educational walk through the olive grove and discover the full olive oil process, from cultivation and care of the trees to harvest and production. Kristo will explain how climate, soil, timing, pressing, and storage shape the taste and quality of each oil.
Then comes the tasting. Under the guidance of a certified olive oil sommelier, learn how to taste olive oil properly, identify aromas, recognize quality, and understand the differences between oils. This is a hands-on experience designed to give you a new appreciation for extra virgin olive oil, whether you already love it or have only ever used it casually at home.

I’m Kristo, your host, olive grove owner, and certified olive oil sommelier. After almost three decades as a mechanical engineer, I decided to trade machines for olive trees.
My family has cultivated olive trees for generations, and now I get to share that passion with guests from around the world. I’ll walk you through the grove, explain how extra virgin olive oil is made, and teach you how to taste it like a sommelier. My goal is for you to leave not only relaxed and well fed, but also able to choose good olive oil for the rest of your life.

Kristof the guide (and owner) gave us a very thorough tour of how they produce the oil, and history class! The tour is very family friendly - we had a 3.5 year old with us. She’s a bit low energy initially but woke up later during the tasting. She loved it! The olive oil is top of the class

The absolute BEST! K and T were wonderful. The dog too! Best spectacular olive oil ever! No wonder why this oil is award winning. The tour was extremely informative and we have a deeper understanding of the complicated process of producing. This family owned business is personal and their compassion shows. This private tour is not to be missed. Ronnie and Gary

Simply a must if you are visiting Croatia! The nicest people I’ve ever met. Tea picked us up from the hotel in the morning and took us to their farm. It was an incredible afternoon in the foothills of Dubrovnik. The olive oil is delicious and the spread of food and wine they provided was exquisite. You will learn more about the olive oil process than you ever imagined. And to top it off, they have two of the loveliest dogs to play with! One of the best experiences I’ve had while traveling abroad and I can’t wait to use their olive oils at home!
